According to a report by the Ministry of Tourism, the country welcomed 611,834 international tourists in January, marking a 13.3% increase compared to the same period last year.

According to the report, Thailand was the leading source market for foreign tourist arrivals in Cambodia, with 189,343 visitors, marking a year-over-year decrease of 15.7 percent.
During the same period, the number of Vietnamese tourists increased by 0.1 percent to 85,796, while Chinese tourists experienced a 45 percent surge, reaching 67,998.
Furthermore, 245,403 tourists arrived in Cambodia by air, accounting for approximately 40% of the total foreign visitors, marking a year-on-year increase of 18.8%.
The remaining tourists entered the Kingdom via land border gates and waterways, the report added.
In 2024, the country received 6.7 million international tourists, surpassing the pre-pandemic figure of 6.6 million. This year, the country is expected to welcome up to 7.5 million international tourists.
Based on current trends and the government's ongoing implementation of key strategies, as well as the ministry's efforts to promote its strategic plans, we anticipate the number of international tourists to reach between 7.2 and 7.5 million in 2025, as stated in a recent report by the ministry.
Cambodia is renowned for its world cultural heritage sites, including the Angkor Archaeological Park in Siem Reap province, the Preah Vihear Temple and Koh Ker Temple in Preah Vihear province, and the Sambor Prei Kuk Archaeological Site in Kampong Thom province.
Furthermore, the Kingdom boasts a 450-kilometer-long pristine coastline that traverses four southwestern provinces: Preah Sihanouk, Kampot, Kep, and Koh Kong.
