The International Floating Book Fair Doulos Hope is in Phnom Penh for the first time

The MV Doulos Hope is a former cruise ship now serving as a floating library. Owned by the faith-based organisation Operation Mobilisation and operated by the German charity Gute Bücher für Alle, it is set to debut in Cambodia’s capital city, Phnom Penh. The organisation, which has previously visited nearly 500 port cities across 150 countries worldwide, opened its doors at Phnom Penh Autonomous Port (TS3) the 5 June and will stay till 4 July 2024 (closed between 17 and 21 June 2024).

Visitors to the ship will be treated to a vast and exciting selection of over 2,000 book titles. From science to sports, faith to cooking, there’s something for everyone in the family, making it a truly enriching experience.

The floating book fair not only aims to foster a love for reading and learning but also to make literature accessible to all. With affordable prices, everyone can indulge in their love for books. The fair is open from Tuesday to Sunday, 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with the exception of Mondays.
