Kantha Bopha Hospital is a shining symbol of care, compassion, and dedication in the heart of Cambodia's healthcare landscape. The hospital was named after King Sihanouk's daughter, who sadly passed away from leukaemia.

Kantha Bopha Hospital has a fascinating history. It was founded in 1992 by the renowned Swiss paediatrician Dr. Beat Richner. His mission was clear:

« to provide essential medical care to children in Cambodia, regardless of their background or ability to pay – and he was going to make it happen.”

At a time when the country's healthcare system was struggling to cope with the demands of a population still scarred by the Khmer Rouge regime, Dr. Richner's commitment was a beacon of hope. The amazing thing is that over 10 million children have already received free treatment at the hospitals.

Kantha Bopha Hospital is not only a center for medical care but also a place for research and advancement in the field of pediatrics and tropical diseases.
