Sports: Cambodia to join Asia Cross Country Rally 2024 in Thailand

Cambodia's VKH Rally Racing Team has left the country for the Asia Cross Country Rally 2024, which will be held in Thailand from 11 to 17 August 2024.

A Cambodian racer, Mr Vong Kimhuot, was optimistic that the Cambodian team would do well in the competition thanks to their experience in the race since 2013. The Cambodian team, with one race car and four service cars, left the country through the Cham Yeam checkpoint in Cambodia's Koh Kong province and headed to Trat province in Thailand.

A total of 45 race cars and nine petrol cars from ten countries will take part in the 2,400km race, which starts in Surat Thani province and finishes in Kanchanaburi province.Last year, Cambodia's VKH Racing team finished 11th out of the 41 entries.
