The Association d’Entraide des Français du Cambodge (AEFC) has initiated a program for neuropsychological care. Supported by the French Embassy, and co-financed by the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Management of Intercare Hospital and of Olympia Medical Hub, OCIC Group, and local donors, the program offers assessments and support for children with neurodevelopmental disorders.
Faustine Ageorges, a paediatric neuropsychologist from the genetics department at Robert Debré Hospital in Paris, was invited to conduct neuropsychological assessments for several children. To ensure a lasting impact, Faustine Ageorges also conducted training sessions for local healthcare and education professionals. This collaboration will continue remotely, ensuring ongoing support.
Intercare Hospital, one of Cambodia's premier healthcare facilities known for its international medical staff and high standards, hosts the Intercare Child Wellbeing Center (ICWC). The ICWC collaborates with global partners like Think Kids from Singapore to develop specialized programs for children with special needs. Kimm Renaud, Clinical Advisor at ICWC, stated:
