The Cambodian province of Siem Reap, home to the famous Angkor temples, and the capital Phnom Penh have been ranked among Asia's most popular destinations in 2025 by Tripadvisor, the famous online platform for travelers.
Among the 25 best destinations in Asia for 2025, the cultural province of Siem Reap ranks 5th, while Phnom Penh, the heart of Cambodia, comes in 18th.
“These destinations are our favorites for a good reason: they have everything travelers are looking for and more,” says Tripadvisor.
Worldwide, Siem Reap ranks 14th, just behind Cusco in Peru and ahead of Lisbon in Portugal.
Tripadvisor awards annual prizes to travelers' favorite destinations, based on reviews and ratings collected throughout the year.
