Prime Minister Hun Manet said in his opening speech:

"ASEAN has become the fifth largest economy in the world because ASEAN women have played a pivotal role, not only as the bedrock of their communities and national economies, contributing to job creation, poverty reduction and promoting an inclusive economy, but also in economic integration through regional and international platforms, driving growth and fostering innovation across borders."

He added that this event will provide invaluable opportunities for knowledge sharing, capacity building and collaboration, enabling women entrepreneurs to strategise and enhance their business skills and competitiveness, share best practices and gain access to a wider range of resources, networks and markets.
