Beauty, health, cooking, sports, plant decoration - there was something for everyone on Saturday and Sunday at the World Wellness Weekend, held at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra sports club in collaboration with the CULT collective.
While Saturday's attendance was somewhat subdued because of the rain, Sunday was much busier, with a number of sporting events and a much bigger turnout. Around twenty stands offered a wide range of products made according to sustainable principles, including cosmetics, coffee, dried fruit and aloe-based drinks.
There were also natural energy drinks, several cashew nut producers and the spa services offered by the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.
At the end of the morning, in glorious sunshine, the participants were able to discover, under the aegis of coaches Kenny and Jean-Baptiste, the joys of pickle ball, a sport that is becoming increasingly popular throughout the world and that the two initiators intend to develop throughout the country.
Finally, several children and teenagers from the Cambodia Children Fund were introduced to the subtleties of squash in the afternoon before the courts were taken over by a friendly tournament.
It was a day of fun and product discovery in the lush greenery of the sports club, and deserves to be repeated.
