On Friday, German Business Cambodia (GBC) held a lively press conference on the roof of the Chew & Bash to announce Oktoberfest.
The warm and welcoming atmosphere was palpable as representatives of the German and Cambodian business communities met to find out more about the festivities.
The evening got off to a festive start with a reception where participants were able to chat and taste a wide selection of Cambrew beers: Carlsberg, Angkor, 1664 Blanc, Asahi, Somersby, Brooklyn and Kingdom. From light lagers to full-bodied amber and fruity flavours, there was something for everyone!
As well as the tasting, guests were treated to a range of authentic Oktoberfest culinary specialities. On the menu: soft pretzels, grilled sausages, beef and chicken kebabs, accompanied by a variety of sauces and fresh fruit.
The convivial atmosphere gave participants the chance to chat with the event organisers and partners while enjoying these delicacies. Lively conversation, laughter and lively music created a festive, relaxed atmosphere that was perfect for celebrating. A glittering disco ball added a touch of kitschy magic to the evening.
Speeches were given in the middle of the reception by Mr Tassilo Brinzer, President of the GBC, Mr EM Yuthou representing Cambrew Ltd. and Mr Calvin Lee representing the BMW Motorrad Club Cambodia. The speakers expressed their enthusiasm for Oktoberfest Cambodia and the opportunity to bring a taste of Bavarian culture to Phnom Penh.
Once again, Tassilo expressed his enthusiasm for the event, recalling the first Oktoberfest in Cambodia six years ago and urging the public to promote the event and attract as many participants as possible. All in all, the press conference was a great success, paving the way for what is likely to be a memorable celebration of Oktoberfest Cambodia.
