Epidemick Gallery France is proud to unveil Les Couleurs de l’Âme Khmère - The Colours of the Khmer Soul, an exceptional exhibition featuring over twenty paintings by Cambodian artist Sary Nou.

Opening on 4 April 2025 and running until 26 April of the same month, this immersive exhibition invites visitors to plunge into the heart of Khmer culture through scenes of daily life highlighted by his paintings. Sary Nou will be present at the gallery from 4 to 12 April, offering a rare opportunity to talk directly with him, notably through dinners and meetings organised at the gallery.

The Colours of the Khmer Soul bears witness to Sary Nou's mastery, presenting a number of works that explore the symbiotic link between humanity and nature, including The Harvest, The Harvest Wind and The Buffalo Field, and other paintings - The Crossroads, Fish Market and Nature and Religion - that reveal Sary Nou's ability to blend Khmer traditions with universal themes.
‘Through these paintings, I share the soul of Cambodia - the colours of its land and the spirit of its people,’ says Sary Nou. 'This exhibition is an invitation to feel that connection.'
About Sary Nou
Born in Cambodia's Kandal province in 1971, Sary Nou brings a remarkable story of resilience to his art. Orphaned during the Khmer Rouge regime, he pursued his passion at the Royal University of Fine Arts in Phnom Penh, then honed his craft at the École des Beaux-Arts in Saint-Étienne, France.
Recognised as one of Cambodia's leading artists, Sary Nou's work has won international acclaim, including the bronze medal awarded by the Société des artistes français in Paris (2005).

The exhibition will open with a vernissage on 4 April 2025 at 7pm, during which visitors will have the opportunity to interact with Sary Nou and discover his world. Dinners with the artist will be held on 9 and 11 April. There will also be a discussion evening on 10 April, with a chance to sign the catalogue and enjoy a glass of champagne.
