Benefits of a balanced lunch

Throughout the day, the body needs food to function at its best, which is why a balanced lunch is so important. A healthy lunch provides the body with the nutrients it needs for growth and development, and a well-balanced meal can help prevent chronic health problems by providing essential vitamins and minerals.

‘I do a lot of sport and it's essential that I eat properly, not only because I need to, but also because I expend a lot of energy,’ explains Sam.

She adds: ‘For example, incorporating fruit and vegetables into my lunch not only nourishes me, but also improves energy levels, contributing to better physical activity and feeling good and full of vitality.'
