Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet welcomed the choice of Siem Reap as the venue, stressing that ‘BVLGARI's decision to organise such a major event in Cambodia reflected the country's stability and security, as well as its growing reputation as a tourist destination’.

The Prime Minister stressed that the gala not only demonstrated the luxury brand's confidence in Cambodia, but also helped to enhance the reputation of the Angkor region, renowned for its cultural and historical interest.

The “AETERNA” collection, which inspired the gala, is inspired by the enduring beauty and cultural heritage of Siem Reap, in particular the temple of Angkor Wat, underlining BVLGARI's commitment to integrating local culture into its brand narrative. The event was seen as a potential boost to Cambodia's tourism and economic growth, with government officials admitting that the initiative could help raise the country's profile worldwide. The gala was also attended by international celebrities, helping to boost the brand's appeal and impact in the luxury market.

Italian luxury brand Bulgari has a boutique in Phnom Penh offering collections of fine jewellery, luxury watches and leather goods. However, the AETERNA event was a unique opportunity, as it was the first time that an event of this kind had been organised in Cambodia.

BVLGARI's presence in Cambodia is therefore both a celebration of luxury and a strategic move to strengthen cultural links and promote tourism in one of South East Asia's most iconic regions.
