Economy: Cambodia exports over 575K tons of rice, earning over $413M in 10 months of 2024

In the ten months of 2024, Cambodia exported over 575,000 tons of rice, earning over $413 million. These figures were announced by the Cambodian Rice Federation.

According to the Cambodian Rice Federation, these exports were carried out by 55 rice exporters to 67 destinations, of which 26 were in Europe

The total volume of rice exported was 283,981 tons, with a total value of USD 207.55 million. Meanwhile, China, including Hong Kong and Macau, received 109,448 tons valued at USD 69.97 million. ASEAN countries, including East Timor, imported 113,792 tons valued at USD 76.34 million, while 31 other countries—Africa, the Middle East, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc.—exported 68,341 tons worth USD 60.04 million.

Of the rice exported, 74.85% was fragrant rice, 20.10% was white rice, 2.95% was parboiled rice, 1.81% was organic rice, and 0.29% was other varieties.
