Economy & Agriculture: MoU on organic bran processing manufacturing investment signed

A memorandum of understanding on organic bran processing manufacturing investment was signed this week in San Francisco, California. The document was signed by Amru Rice (Cambodia) Co. Ltd. and Stabil Nutrition LLC.

The signatories were Oknha Song Saran, Chairman and CEO of Amru Rice (Cambodia), and Michael Tarrasch, Chairman of Stabil Nutrition LLC. The ceremony was presided over by H.E. Sun Chanthol, First Vice President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC)

The signed MoU provides the foundation for future collaboration in investment for the establishment of an organic bran processing factory, utilising American machinery and technology.

On 22 September, Mr. Song Saran, also Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Cambodia Rice Federation (CRF), and Mr. Murphy, Executive Vice President of Rice and Grains/Global Sourcing at Otis McAllister Inc signed this Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the purchase and sale of Cambodian rice and grain for a period of five years.

The CRF will supply high-quality milled rice, including Phka Malis (jasmine rice), Sen Kro Ob (also known as SKO) and SRO, along with other varieties of milled rice at competitive prices and with guaranteed timely delivery.
