Destination & Tourism : RiverTree Villa & Resort, the hidden gem in Kampot's Makprang village

Nestling in the heart of splendid green spaces, the natural charm of the RiverTree hotel complex lures guests away from city life for a serene and peaceful getaway.

Rated as one of the best hotels and resorts in Kampot, the experience at this resort immerses guests in a timeless family atmosphere.

Green getaway

Blending luxurious living spaces with affordable prices, the resort’s 19 rooms divided into 12 villas offer a unique journey amidst a green, tree-lined environment where Khmer craftsmanship also reigns supreme.

From the traditional tiled floors to the paintings on the walls, the décor is an invitation to unique relaxation. As for the spacious rooms, the exceptional comfort of the bedding ensures a deep and pleasant encounter with Morpheus.

When you wake up in the morning, you can fill up on breakfast with two options: mini-buffet or à la carte. This morning meal can be enjoyed English, Continental or American style, or with a more Asian and Khmer flavoured breakfast.

As you stroll along the many tropical tree-lined areas, you will come across other eateries, notably the Bamboo Café & Restaurant, where the Cambodian chef, with his long experience in Michelin-starred hotels, offers unique Khmer cuisine, sometimes with a fusion twist.

What’s more, an à la carte menu is available throughout the day, with different options where the Khmer chef can always adapt the different dishes to suit your requirements. And to freshen up the day, the pool bar offers a place to relax after the various activities and excursions on offer at the resort. The end of the day can be enjoyed in the Green New Sky Bar & Salon, with its view of the green landscape of the Chark trees and mountains as far as the eye can see.

The pleasures of RiverTree

RiverTree Villa & Resort offers a wide range of services and activities, from water sports to wellness and gastronomy, and has no shortage of ideas for providing guests with an unforgettable getaway.

At the heart of the resort, in the tropical flower lanes, you’ll find a range of wellness facilities, including saunas, whirlpools and Khmer and classical massage options. This relaxing experience can be enjoyed indoors in the Spa room, outdoors on the terrace, or in the Cabana by the pool.

In addition to soothing music and various relaxation techniques, RiverTree Villa & Resort also offers a multitude of activities and activities that are both highly relaxing and breathtaking. You can jet-ski over the banks of the Kampot River, or enjoy the waterway by boat or canoe, with a stunning view to boot.

Various tours of Kampot and the surrounding area are also available, not forgetting the famous Khmer cookery course, which here is designed to be very unique, not only by sharing the local culinary culture, but also by exploring the Green House farm (the RiverTree Villa & Resort farm) and the crop fields of the nearest villagers, as well as a visit to the market. From Koko Chark fruit and pork to Khmer Curry Chark fruit and Chark Fruit Dessert, this culinary programme introduces you to real local rural cuisine in the company of the Cambodian chef.

"For my part, I was able to experience a thirty-minute boat trip. It was a moment lulled by the gentle waves of the Kampot river and the famous musical work of Sinn Sisamouth "កំពតកំពូលចិត្ត".

It's a memory that will remain engraved in my mind, and I was even able to learn how to drive the boat thanks to the presence and joie de vivre of the Khmer captain", says Carla, a young intern in Cambodia and a client of the resort.

RiverTree Villa & Resort, a committed and socially responsible resort

Much more than just a hotel, RiverTree Villa & Resort is committed to a zero-plastic ecological ethic, particularly in their various living spaces, where local organic toiletries with environmentally friendly packaging are available in the rooms.
