Cathay United Bank Cambodia (CUBC) has launched the ‘CUBC Payment Link Portal (CPL)’, a secure and user-friendly digital payment platform designed to facilitate online transactions for the Cambodian tourism industry, particularly hospitality service providers.

By connecting to the portal, businesses in the hospitality industry can quickly generate payment links to offer customised travel packages and accept international payments in advance, which is in line with the growing trend of travellers booking personalised itineraries before they arrive. The platform also offers direct booking benefits such as room upgrades and free services, helping businesses stay competitive in a growing tourism market.
The CPL includes features such as product list management to avoid repetitive data entry, automatic notifications for booking and payment confirmations via email or messaging apps, and a dashboard to track bookings and payment status across all devices. Payments made through the portal are protected by EMV 3DS 2.2 authentication, ensuring enhanced security and fraud protection. This CUBC initiative responds to the recovery of tourism in Cambodia, with 6.7 million international visitors recorded in 2024, and the growing interest in ecotourism and cultural experiences in regions such as Siem Reap and Phnom Penh. CUBC is encouraging businesses in the hospitality sector to apply for the CPL, offering an exclusive promotional offer for registrations before the end of 2025.
This launch is part of CUBC's ongoing commitment to digital transformation, following the launch in 2023 of a new mBanking app that supports fund transfers and KHQR payments. The CPL further simplifies payment acceptance for businesses by eliminating the need to set up their own online payment infrastructure, enabling secure, convenient and efficient transactions that support Cambodia's booming tourism sector.
