“Our ambition is actually to develop Phnom Kulen to transform this destination into a combination of spiritual tourism, nature and adventure”, the Minister emphasised.
On this occasion, the Minister also advocated updating the mechanism of the Cambodian Tourism Promotion and Marketing Board (CBT). The Minister also called for the promotion of a green belt in the region where farmers could grow all kinds of vegetables, fish and raise livestock to supply the tourism industry.
The Minister repeatedly stressed the importance of promoting Kulen as a destination for tourism, nature and adventure, as well as research and science. He strongly recommended the development of an ecotourism corridor in the Jayavarman-Norodom-Phnom Kulen national park.
