Cambodia is scheduled to assume the role of host for the inaugural ASEAN Entrepreneur Forum & Awards, which has recently undergone a rebranding process and is now known as The Pinnacle Entrepreneur Forum.
The Pinnacle Entrepreneur Forum is proud to announce its collaboration with the ASEAN Women Entrepreneurs' Network (AWEN) and the Cambodian Women Entrepreneurs Network (CamWEN), under the guidance of Lct Dr Eng Lykuong, chair and president of both networks, and Lct Oknha Sreat Mom Sophear, chair of the event organising committee.
The objective of this summit is to empower and propel businesses, particularly those led by women, to achieve greater heights. It is scheduled to take place on 1 August at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra.
The event will be attended by Prime Minister Hun Manet, along with key government ministers, including the Minister of Women's Affairs, the Minister of Tourism, the Minister of Commerce and other relevant ministers.
In her capacity as the chair of AWEN, Lykuong has pledged to "commercialise Cambodia" for the benefit of the ASEAN member states. The objective of this initiative is to attract foreign financial investors to Cambodia.
The focus of this year's event is to shift attention from gender-specific skill sets to the universal potential of entrepreneurship. The objective is to highlight the abundant opportunities available to all, regardless of gender. By emphasising inclusivity and equality, the intention is to create a platform that celebrates the entrepreneurial spirit irrespective of gender. The objective is to demonstrate how men and women can contribute to and benefit from the success of businesses.
In contrast to the difficulties encountered by other nations in hosting AWEN events, the event committee has asserted that Cambodia presents a unified front. In a departure from the competitive approach that has characterised previous events, AWEN and CamWEN, two organisations dedicated to women's empowerment, have joined forces under one banner to host this event.
During the interview session with the event committee, Mom Sophear took the opportunity to extend an invitation to businesses and organisations to consider supporting the event through sponsorship opportunities.
Cash sponsorships of $10,000 are available for the platinum level, which represents a significant reduction in cost compared to other events where the platinum level would typically cost around $30,000 to $50,000. While cash sponsorships are the preferred option, in-kind contributions that reduce operational costs are also welcomed.
With regard to ticket pricing, AWEN offers a number of options to accommodate different preferences. Individual tickets for a half-day are available for $100, while a full-day pass costs $160. For group attendance, table reservations for up to 10 seats are priced at $1,500.
