The Ministry of Public Works and Transport has officially connected the highest bridge in the province of Pursat, in western Cambodia, opening it up for temporary use during the Khmer New Year holidays.

The ceremony took place yesterday morning, presided over by H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister and First Vice-President of the Council for the Development of Cambodia, with the participation of local authorities and representatives of the construction company.
Built by the China Road and Bridge Corporation (CRBC), bridge no. 28 spans the valley of the Russey Chrum river in the village of Chhay Luk, commune of O' Som, district of Veal Veng, along national road no. 10.
The bridge is 90 metres high, with a total length of 537 metres and a width of 10 metres, making it the highest bridge in the country.
It is part of the project to reconstruct 197.3 kilometres of national road No 10, which links the provinces of Battambang and Koh Kong.
