Cambodia's exports up more than 10% in first five months of 2024, worth $10 billion

In the first five months of 2024, Cambodia exported more than $10 billion worth of main products, an increase of 10.88%, while imports exceeded $11 billion, an increase of 13.6% compared to the same period in 2023, according to a report by the Ministry of Commerce.

Cambodia's largest export markets include the United States, Vietnam, China, Japan, Thailand, Canada, the United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, the Netherlands, France, Hong Kong and other major trading partners.

Cambodia's main exports are garments and accessories made from fabrics, fruits and nuts, machinery and electrical equipment, footwear, rubber and rubber products, and other key commodities.

According to Pen Sovicheat, spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, Cambodia's exports are still growing well and orders are continuing despite a slight decline. This is attributed to Cambodia's production of essential goods such as garments, bicycles, agricultural products and rice, which still require imports from other countries.
