Cambodia & Photography: Waiting for the night at Preah Khan

Beautiful series of photographs of the Preah Khan temple, taken at dusk by Aditya Karnad. Preah Khan is a Buddhist temple built by Jayavarman VII around 1191 to the north of the city of Angkor Thom.

Preah Khan (‘sacred sword’ in Khmer) is a Buddhist monastic complex named Jayaçri (‘glorious victory’ in Sanskrit) in honour of Jayavarman VII's victory over the Chams.
