The Ministry of Commerce has officially launched markets for Khmer products in PTT stations across the country, with the aim of stimulating the consumption of locally manufactured Cambodian products.

The inauguration, which took place on Sunday at the PTT Phdao-Chum 2 (Skun) station in Kampong Cham province, was presided over by H.E. Kem Sithan, Permanent Secretary of State at the Ministry of Trade, and was attended by the relevant officials, representatives of agricultural cooperatives, the private sector and PTT (Cambodia).
Speaking at the event, H.E. Kem Sithan emphasised the importance of the initiative for the promotion of Cambodian products.
‘The launch of Khmer produce markets in PTT stations will help to increase sales and the reputation of Cambodian products. The Ministry of Commerce is convinced that the public will support and use local products, thus contributing to national economic growth,’ he said.
The programme is part of a broader initiative, in accordance with the memorandum of understanding on cooperation to promote and increase sales of Cambodian products, signed between the Ministry of Commerce and PTT (Cambodia) on 17 January 2025.
