On the bus to Kampong Chhnang province, Beng Hab says that he has been interested in the food industry since childhood and wanted to visit farms where fruit and vegetables are grown without chemicals.
‘I didn't study agriculture, but I love it. I still enjoy growing vegetables and raising animals. I think Cambodia should offer more agrotourism services,’ explains the former vet.
Today, Hab, 32, raises 20 quails and a few chickens. He also grows vegetables in his small garden to support himself.
"We wanted to visit a vegetable farm and see how plants are grown on a real farm. However, we couldn't find any farms offering agro-tourism tours."
