Cambodia & Hospitality: Shangri-La Phnom Penh should open it's doors before the end of 2024

Shangri-La Phnom Penh should open later this year, marking the debut of Shangri-La Hotels in Cambodia.

Sharing an address with The Peak, a 55-storey premium mixed-use tower, the hotel will feature 303 guest rooms, suites and apartments ranging from 45 to 135 square metres. Interiors will be inspired by French Art Deco and Khmer art, as evidenced by the abundance of natural stone and warm wood accents.Shangri-La Phnom Penh will also feature five restaurants, including the group's signature Shang Palace, serving Malaysian cuisine with Cantonese origins by Chef Freeze Ng Kok Leon.

Other dining options include Kommune, serving international cuisine with local flavours; Mekong Lounge; and The Atelier, serving freshly brewed coffee, pastries and light snacks.

According to management, the hotel offers 303 elegantly appointed guest rooms, suites and apartments, ranging in size from 45 to 135 square metres. Each space is designed as a sophisticated sanctuary, with warm wood accents, natural stone and abundant natural light.

The hotel is accepting enquiries and online reservations will be available from October. According to management, the hotel is already experiencing significant interest in its offerings.

On the hotel's 51st floor, guests will find a health club and spa offering a "wide range of pampering treatments" and state-of-the-art TechnoGym equipment. A 1,150 sqm grand ballroom, five flexible interconnected meeting rooms and a boardroom are also available for functions and events.
