The Ministry of Tourism will be organising the ‘Cambodia-China Gastronomy Week’ in Siem Reap province from 26 to 27 October 2024, with around a hundred stands. According to the Ministry, the upcoming event will showcase the best of both traditional Cambodian and Chinese cuisine.
At the same time, the Ministry of Tourism will also be organising a conference on gastronomy under the theme ‘Good food for all’, with speakers sharing their experience of Cambodian and Chinese gastronomy.
This event aims to promote Cambodian gastronomy and the country's rich tourism potential in international markets, particularly China, the ministry said, adding that it also seeks to strengthen good cooperation in tourism between the public and private sectors of Cambodia and China, and to continue to promote the ‘Cambodia-China People-to-People Exchange Year 2024’ and ‘Visit Siem Reap 2024’ campaigns to attract more Chinese tourists and investors to Cambodia.
The Ministry of Tourism therefore calls on tourism operators, all industry associations, relevant institutions, the media and the general public to widely promote Cambodia-China Gourmet Week and participate in this event.
