Cambodia exports over 412,000 tonnes of rice and earns over $305 million in the first 8 months of 2024

The Cambodian Rice Federation has announced that in the first eight months of 2024, Cambodia exported 412,023 tonnes of milled rice, bringing in 305 million dollars.

According to the Federation, these exports were made by 53 exporters to 65 destinations, including 26 European countries, for a total of 208,207 tonnes of rice, worth 161.70 million dollars

China, including Hong Kong and Macao, imported 77,792 tonnes worth USD 48.87 million. ASEAN countries, including East Timor, imported 83,095 tonnes worth USD 56.89 million, while 28 other countries - Africa, the Middle East, the United States, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, etc. - imported 42,929 tonnes worth USD 37.69 million.

Flavoured rice accounted for 70.92% of exports, white rice for 23.75%, parboiled rice for 3.13%, organic rice for 1.89% and other varieties for 0.32%.
