Gold refineries operating in Cambodia have extracted nearly 13 tonnes of gold since January 2024.
H.E. Ung Dipola, Director General of the General Mining Department of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, unveiled the Ministry's results at a recent press conference.
Renaissance Minerals (Cambodia), operating in Mondolkiri province, refined 807 gold bars weighing a total of 12,536 kilograms, while another refinery, Rong Cheng Industrial Investment, operating in the same province, produced 12 gold bars, equivalent to around 22 kilograms.
The Managing Director said that Cambodia had so far authorised ten gold refineries to operate in the country.
Renaissance Minerals (Cambodia) became Cambodia's leading gold producer in June 2021, with a total investment of around US$120 million.
