The "Harmony" exhibition features works by seven talented watercolor artists, including Morn Phyra, May Sok, Seng Visal, Sou Kimsan, Im Seila, Im Pesey and Nhem Sopheap.
These artists combine colors to create aesthetically rich and meaningful paintings.
The exhibition will be open to the public until 30 June 2024 at Shophouse Studio, Pteah Chas. The organisers aim to promote and inspire the technique of watercolour painting to a wider audience. The current unpopularity of watercolour art with limited activities and artists is a concern for those involved. Since 2019, a group of artists known as "Plein Air Cambodia" has been holding live painting sessions in various locations across Cambodia, and they participate in workshops and exhibitions in Cambodia and internationally.
The exhibition presents a diverse array of artworks, with the objective of establishing global connections and promoting the field. According to the artists, the watercolor artworks, inspired by various locales and cultural activities, contribute to the promotion of tourism and culture for both locals and foreigners.
